Text lifted from DayDream Network…

Argentina’s young, fresh scene is a beacon of creativity to graffiti enthusiasts worldwide. This book tells the story of the Argentinian graffiti scene – one of the most original and vibrant in the world – from its first efflorescence in the 1990s and artists’ recent experiences, to the underground use of tags, train graffiti and political images, and the sketches and designs that have come off the street to influence the whole visual culture of this exciting country.

The author had begun discovering graffiti while shooting documentaries about the argentine Hip-Hop culture for television, after then he investigated and searched graffiti around South America. But it wasn’t until February 2006 that the idea of making the first argentine graffiti book begun. After eight months of searching and producing Max meet the talented French designer Pauline, with hum the first pages of the book came up to life. So it was time to look for a publisher, and they went straight to the best one… and they liked what they saw. There was a lot to be shown, a lot to be said, and a lot to be done, and to be done right so the skills of Damian and experience of Jorge where added to the team, and of course local writers always helping along. Three years of hard work to bring to life a unique book, about an underground art that flourishes and evolves in a distant and unique country.
