the fenchurch tee fest

Get your creative hats on!!!

The Fenchurch Teefest is a competition to design a new Tee to rock the upcoming festival season.

All you need to do to enter is come up with an original, innovative way of interpreting their iconic logo. Fenchurch have always handpicked the most respected freelance designers out there, and now they’re opening it up to the public.

How it works
Send in your ideas by 1st June 2010, Fenchurch will then select 10 favourite ladies and men’s designs and display them at fenchurch.com, then let the public vote for the winner. The person with the most votes on 11th June 2010 when the competition ends gets to see their design transformed into a Fenchurch tee and sold all over the world. Simple as that.

The Brief
Create a graphic incorporating the iconic Fenchurch logo using the summer festival season as a reference point.

The design can be produced in any medium, from photography to illustration so long as it incorporates the logo and is based on the summer festival theme. Interpret the theme in any way you like. Fun, mud, music, friends….you know the score.

The Prize
The winners will be announced on 11th June 2010. There will be one winner for the men’s Tee and one for the women’s, they will both receive a £200 prize as well as seeing their T-shirt design being produced and sold in stores and on www.fenchurch.com.

yup, i’m slow, but we all knew that. pete versus toby, a collective effort who operate out of palestine their boutique/studio/gallery in bondi, put out some new designs before crimbo; PVT NU AQUA, HELLSONG, GRILLSON, GREG EYE & FREE* MADONNA, all available as T’s or singlets.

someone, “a concerned local”, recently offered to put a brick through the window of The Con Artist in Thirroul because they placed the FREE* Madonna singlet in their shop window (news clip from msn below…). a note was popped under the door which read “If the singlet is not removed… you may find some concerned local might put a brick through your window.” looks like pvt win that round in their continual effort to shockingly awaken.

all prints are lovingly screened onto 100% certified organic cotton sourced from Australia, India & Turkey and made in Australia. it’s this kind of commitment to the future health of our planet the needs to be supported and promoted. in their words they are the Nu Australia, mixed children of the future who just don’t care, support what they do…you might just like it.

Pete Vs Toby is the collaboration of three 20 something artists living the Australian dream. Living and working out of Bondi, these best friends spend their days turning their art into cash by making Certified Organic hand-made clothes. In the early days they would drive down from Byron every Sunday to flog their goods at Bondi markets. After having great success they moved to Sydney permanently and thus Palestine was born.

Addict have just announced the launch of a new range of footwear…

Addict have just released a little sneak peak of their first range of footwear. After months of ideas and sketches being laid out they’ve settled 6 new designs.

Comment from Addict:

“We wanted to bring out a line that would compliment the design language of our apparel and pay homage to some classic streetwear silhouettes but with our own twist, colour and style”

Addict have been a big name in UK street scene and have gone from strength to strength over the past few years. This new addition to their already stylish clothing collection is sure to make a big buzz and have you sneaker freakers foaming at the mouth…

The Quiet Life, brain child of Andy Mueller (man behind many many beautiful and creative projects, google him if ya don’t know), have put out their latest collection of new designs online. Some I’ve seen on various other sites, but I’m guessing this is a first for their online store. For those who like a ping pong can carry their paddle ‘n’ balls about in The QLs new paddle bag. Orders in by 16th for Christmas delivery, although this can’t be guaranteed. Plus a festive giveaway, any orders over$100 get a free QL day bag worth $40 until the 31st Dec…

Levi’s X KRINK “A PIECE OF DETAIL” Tokyo Event Recap

KRINK are all over it at the moment, from humble beginnings does a mighty brand rise. To commemorate their recent collaboration with KRINK, Levi’s held a special event within CINCH TOKYO. DJ Low Jack Three was there providing a musical backdrop along with an autograph session which made 300 custom posters and art photos available to all attendees. The installation is up until the 13th Decembar so if you are in or arond Tokyo it’s worth a peek.
